Who took the cookies from the cookie jar?
Eight silly monsters
Ten little mice
Murmel, murmel, murmel
My Kindergarten
In a people house
—
My Kindergarten class created this poem. We are learning about the letter c …it is a cookie with a bite out of it. We chose “Who Stole The Cookies From The Cookie Jar?” because it was about the letter c. Then we picked books that suggested who might have stolen the cookies; “Eight Silly Monkeys” and “Ten Little Mice.” “Murmel, Murnel, Murmel” is the people trying to find out who took the cookies. “My Kindergarten” and “In A People House” is who took the cookies and where they found them. We had lots of fun making this poem, especially when we got to be the ones who took the cookies!

Description: These titles are from the Engineering Library at the University of Saskatchewan where I work. I thought it would be particularly challenging to come up with anything creative using engineering materials, but was pleasantly surprised to find excitement and drama in our titles!
